Players Little Helper
I have found much help from a special keyboard, when playing LOTRO (AND WoW). I use Logitech G15 keyboard but G11 work as well (THIS IS NOT AD). This keyboard has 18 programable keys on left side and they can be programmed to imitate any key press or combinations with even pauses between key presses. And there is 3 profiles with one button switch. In WoW using this kind of keyboard is not violation of game rules, so I think it is legal in LOTRO too.
I have quite simple keys re-programmed to left side. Down I have arrows and two most important buttons. Rest 12 buttons are numbers 1,2,..0, + and TAB . I am a left handed but I have used mouse on right side now over 20 years, so I have programmed buttons on left hand, mouse on right hand. Playing works fine, because I can use both hand with full efficience. E.q. I can run and cast lores and at the same time rotate with mouse or use it other way. No misspresses because buttons are nicely placed. So If You have some extra money, look G11 or other similar programable keyboards. I guarantee that gaming will be easier with them.

Good advice Frigga,
I see that that G11 has more programable keys - what's you're thoughts on the G15 compared to the G11?

Question of taste
I think almost all programable keyboards are in good help when playing. There is also other manufacturers programable keyboards and some other can be even better. But because of my line of work I had a possibility to test many of them, I found this Logitech best function/price product.
Some more tips. I have 3 different profiles for my 3 characters. 2 in WoW and 1 for this elf Frigga. When I change alt, at the same time I change keyboard profile. Some keys are good to make automatic self health, for example: change target to myself - health lore/spell - target back to enemy. All behind 1 button only.

Re: Players Little Helper
Good tip Frigga and really usefull at least for me as I have been for some time been thinking to buy a new keyboard and a mouse too. My current ones have served me long and well, around 8 years, but I think it would be a good time to let them retire. I have considered G11 one of my candidates as those macro keys look like really appealing(and its a bit cheaper than the G15 ).
But I have read that those G series have certain character what comes to the typing feeling. One review said that you have to press the buttons a bit deeper than usual before they are registered, which could take a little bit to to get used to. Have you noticed this kind of behauviour, or is it just hard to notice? Well, I guess I have to try how that G11 feels and see if I want to put my works trought it to the paper in the future.

Button press feelings and other feelings too!
I have used many, many keyboards because of my line of work. I think this G11/G15 is somewere middle of them. It is not lightest neither hardest. I feel that G11/G15 gives more accurate feelings when playing or typing than a bulk keyboard. But I suggest that You should try it in the store before buying it, because typing habits are different with different people.
G11/G15 have BACKLIGHT so You don't need any light on at nights. It gives more intensive playing feelings when playing late hours
