The Rift Nürz Gäshu - what you need to know and how to prepare
Here will be gathered little guide for the Rift, so please add your suggestions, ideas and tactics freely and discuss about them. I will try to update this too.
First consumables you need to take with you there:
- At least 2x 15min +5 hope tokens (Tinkers can make them - 2 misty mountain silver ingot(4 ore) and 1 polished beryl(2 beryls) )
- Potions for wounds, fear and disease
- Food, more the better
- Morale and power potions
-Your equipment fully repaired, traits sorted.
It is important to adjust your volume settings so you are able to hear what other people are instructing and talking in the game's voice system. Usually it is required to tune down your game sounds(even to almost minmum) and increase your master volume on speakers.
Also due to the nature of the place and endless possibilities for a wipe, it is required that people don't rush in, let pulling be done by the pullers and otherwise follow the instructions. Its nothing special, just the basics which are included in teamwork and co-operation. When facing hard times and uphills it is important to remember to learn from them. No pointing fingers but thinking how everyone could do things better next time - its the learning experience which makes the encounter so interesting.
Most important thing is to remember to have fun! Its not a second job but its more likely a mean to relax and enjoy yourself among the mates. Facing new evil creatures, slaying them and veturing into unknown places should encourage the fun aspect.

Re: The Rift Nürz Gäshu - what you need to know and how to prepare
If anyone needs hope tokens please let me know, I have loads as Vokrim is working towards GM mostly on these tokens, if you do have any spare ore or beryls you want turned into tokens I will gladly take care of that too.

There was a post on the forums (lotro) that E Voronwe managed the rift with 6 men, they have a rather nice guide on their site and it is well worth the read (never been before but it sounds very complete, including timings of when to do certain things, and when to employ all your kit. Although they did manage to do it with 6 most of the members already had full rift armour and such. Very interesting read if you can find it, will post url if i can.

Two guides about Balrog fight
First one is from the lotro US forums: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=141997 and later one from certain kinship's forums: http://tabakinship.dkpsystem.com/viewthread.php?threadid=193
They are pretty fine but remember that some info might be a bit outdated or we might do things in little different fashion. But still the the overall picture they give is pretty good. So feel free to read these if you want. I might edit these to the first post at one day too.

READ MY POST
I have included a ton of useful videos on the balrog fight, this is the part of the rift where we always always fail. To flame of the west Barz is a pussy, Zurm a wimp, Narnubalat a fly on the back of our great army and Thrang just a stubborn spot that wont relinquish its hold. The Balrog however is a problem, dont know why but it is. So i had a look on youtube and have selected the best guides and videos of that fight for your viewing pleasure, enjoy ... AND PAY ATTENTION ... but enjoy ... (lol)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckcEe2cms2I - just a general guide, but sped up so you cant actually see what is going on
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYgNLJcBhT4&NR=1 - watch from 2m45s really good view on what to do in left lever room if pulling to sigil
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3_6l8oAZdM - this shows the alternative tactic for dealing with the lever rooms, this group sent everyone but tank to kill everything in the side room and then pll lever rather than pulling everything to the sigil
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVfaFxrig6o - here again an alternative tactic, these people pull the world eaters from the side room all the way back to the sigil whilst glathiriel is purifying the waters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7CDcnwirpg - only need watch the first few minutes of this to see the later tactics to use against the 'rog - pretty much a video of 60k and down so well worth watching.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e39I4fWBRGI - and finally, one to enjoy, this one is really good, really atmmospheric and really tries to tell the story of the rift and thaurlach rather show off how good the kin who did it are or how to kill thaurlach, a really really good one this - worthy of the films, tolkein would weep to see this short methinks. This epitomises what JRRT wanted in that he wanted a lving breathing world that people around this world would add to and improve, this film shows that i feel and is well worth a watch, i do before i go into the rift - every time!
